Dear Trailblazer Family,

As we set to begin a new school year, it is my mission to motivate, inspire and propel each and every member of our school family into our places of continual excellence as students, educators, parent-partners, community-based partners and lifelong learners. I am personally challenged, motivated and inspired to grow our school by growing every child daily based on their unique learning abilities.

At Kit Carson Elementary, we believe that a strong partnership between families and the school is essential to every child's success. We will be dedicated to keeping you informed about school decisions, events and classroom activities. Our goal is to ensure you always know what is happening at school and how we are supporting your child's academic and social growth.

I am committed with our theme for the year "Engagement and Rigor." Growth is a journey, not a destination. Together we can nurture a supportive environment where every student feels encouraged, seen and cared for. We encourage two-way communication between parents, teachers, and school staff. Your voice matters, whether you have questions, ideas, or concerns, we are here to listen and work together.
